I have my 93 convertible (TT conversion) partially disassembled in my shop, and it's half way done with the paint prep for a repaint. It's currently red with black top & interior. I have been lookin at the car for 8 years as a red car, so I was thinking about changing the color, to silver. Silver was not available on convertibles, and would look great with the black top & interior, so that sems like a good choice if I am making a color change. The bad part, is the engine bay is red & the intake plenum was painted red recently, to match the body. Plus I recently got new black leather for the seats, with red stitching (not installed yet). If I repaint the body silver, I will not have time to also pull the engine & paint the engine bay & plenum for a while. And red stitching on the seats would not be the best for a silver car (the shift knob, & e-brake boot already have red stitching, which is easily changed). So, I am looking for ideas. Leaving it red is obviously the easy way. But I was hoping somebody might have a suggestion I am not thinking of. While I am at it, I am switching to a 1990 nose panel, without the hamburger Nissan emblem... Here is how the car looks, in it's current state, getting ready for paint:
